Draft for controlled-pilot testing · Updated 6 September 2026
Who operates WORK89
WORK89™ is a product operated by RISEN JOURNEY (Pty) Ltd, Registration No. 2026/674738/07. South African trade mark application No. 2026/33065 for WORK89 is pending. References to WORK89 in this notice include the platform operated under that registered entity.
What WORK89 collects
We collect account details, profile information, skills, jobs, applications, invitations, work records, reviews, safety reports and technical information required to operate the service. Photos, showcase videos, public phone numbers, Journey location sharing and private verification documents are optional unless a user requests the related feature.
How information is used
Information is used to provide job matching, hiring tools, verified work records, safety moderation, account support and service security. WORK89 does not sell personal information.
What other people can see
Public worker profiles may show a name, photo, skills, general area, availability, work history and verified reviews. A telephone number appears only when the worker explicitly chooses to publish it. Exact addresses, private reports and Journey locations are restricted.
Your choices
You may edit your profile, hide your public phone number, stop Journey sharing, remove saved items and request or perform account deletion. Some records may need limited retention where required for safety, disputes or law.
Safety and service providers
WORK89 uses service providers including Vercel and Supabase to host and secure the platform. ID and address documents must be submitted only through the private document-review centre. They are restricted to the submitting user and specifically authorised WORK89 administrators, are not shown to workers or hirers, and are used only for the requested review, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. WORK89 will retain them only while reasonably required under its documented retention and deletion process.
